Description

The Beginning ;

To begin a story, one must follow the ending of another - for what is something new but the continuation of the old? What is one story, if it is not connected to another?

 The thought of being in another World  simultaneously caused excitement and fear to bubble in her Heart. She had taken the opportunity to gaze throughout the Fourth District of Traverse Town. It was a place that refugees flocked to when their Worlds were swallowed by Darkness- or so Rydia had told her with the calmest tone that she could muster.

Even then, so many questions remained...

'What are the Heartless, exactly?' Suihei asked, twirling the lucky charm she had been passed as a gift. Lightning was reticent, so prying answers from her seemed to be impossible.

Lightning turned, looking over from her idle glance to the sky in order to address the young woman. 'Darkness made Manifest.' She began to explain, pushing herself off the wall with a foot. She didn't need to explain everything to Suihei. Just enough so that she'd get by. And it'd be hard prying everything from her lips if she could help it. 'When a Heart is consumed by the Darkness within, it separates from the body that gives it shape and the soul, which gives it logic.' Curling her hands into fists, the leathers of her gloves creaked. 'They don't tire, they don't weaken, and they'll keep coming back no matter how often you put them down.'

The girl sagged her shoulders at that. Just the thought of not being able to do anything...

'Unless you have the Keyblade.' Vanille interjected with a spry grin, resting her hand atop Suihei's head. 'At least, that's what legend says.' She added thoughtfully. She just barely caught Suihei standing to her feet to leave the room in haste.

It was a rash action to take. The reaction of someone that couldn't, or wouldn't understand unless she saw it herself. Steeling her nerves as best as she could, the brunette placed her hands against the stoned surface of the railing beside the motel she'd been dragged to. There was still a dull throb of pain at the back of her head from when Light had knocked her out earlier, something that still caused no small amount of ire from Suihei.

She'd get her payback soon, alright.

With Keyblade in hand, she gazed at the few shadows rising from the ground. Suihei's expression became melancholy, as she looked upon the unfamiliar streets of the World she had woke in.

It wasn't a dream. And she had so, so many questions to ask.

Writing practice to get back into the swing of things. I've been out of it these last few weeks with dumb personal troubles.
I'll probably come back and edit this later.
